last night was so lazy but i got a lot done! i gave two shampoos (which i get 6 credits for), 2 haircuts and 2 styles. the schedule isn’t too crazy this week so i only have one client so far, but i’m good. i think as long as i keep busy with my mannequins i can get my credits done before i graduate in december. i’m going to copy everything tonight and keep track of it at home so i know what i have to do and what i don’t have to do. i fucking love cosmetology school. it’s the one thing that matters to me right now and i’m actually excelling in it.

i love mondays! we have an assignment to finish by the end of the night, but it’s never anything crazy so we have tons of time to do services on each other. tonight my teacher is going to trim my hair and i’m going to talk someone into giving me a pedicure. having no clients one day a week is amazing.

i ended up with a “c” because i missed so many hours this semester, but i sweet talked my wonderful teacher and she changed my grade to a “b”. i’ll take it! not missing anything else if i can help it.

i’m so excited to say that my best friend FINALLY registered and started cosmetology school today. she’s doing daytime (i’m night time) but when i make up hours during the day i’ll be able to take smoke breaks with her. i’m so happy for her. this is really her thing and i think she’s going to do so well. this is even going to bring us closer together. :) yayay!

turned a beautiful blonde into an even more beautiful brunette. i didn’t take photos, which sucks and i need to stop slacking on, but if my client’s sister (who is my friend) posts an after shot, i’ll ask if i can use it for my blog! :D

i feel like death today, but i have a client coming in for a color service and i get to see an old classmate so… i’m going to push through it! quick shower, extensions, touch up my make-up and starbucks before class. wish me luck! xx

i want to ombre my hair and then cut it all off in a few months. such a bad idea, considering my hair is JUST starting to live again. gah, the things you contemplate in cosmetology school.

so last night i was supposed to be on dispensary but i ended up taking another student’s client because she had car trouble and had to leave. the lady was amazing (and is now going to be a regular client). she came to the daytime class for a color retouch on her regrowth and it ended up orange. i fixed the problem, then blow dried her hair so that she could see the difference. i got a $5 tip and it left me feeling very accomplished. she’ll be back in may for another retouch and a cut.

tonight i will be on reception for most of the night and i’m so relieved about that. we get a credit across the board when we’re on dispensary and reception, so you can’t go wrong with that! also… my class has went from 20 students to 10. what the fuck???

i desperately hope i’m clientless tonight so i can work on my cuts. i have so many more to do in the next 7 months and i just want to bust them out. i know i can get 5 done on a mannequin in one night, if not more, so PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE don’t flood me with perms and highlights.

so today we had a shears rep come in to tell us all about the brand of shears he sells and how to decipher whether yours are good or not. we got a lot of awesome info and really good prices. just before break, the rep counted his inventory and go figure… a pair was missing. so after break was over, both classes got together and there was a bit of a “chat” about it. and of course, the loud, obnoxious girls in the class behind mind had a shit ton to say. “why are you always blaming us?” “why do you think it’s us?” “maybe he counted his inventory wrong”… bitch, did i count my engagement ring inventory wrong when ONE OF YOU stole my ring and it was found behind a toilet in the girls’ bathroom? no. i’m so fed up… and thankful that i’m not part of that class. i was so close to snapping, but i literally bit my lips shut in order to keep myself quiet. i can’t take it anymore. one more thing happens and i’m going to go off.

spring break is halfway through. back to school monday! i kind of can’t wait…
